Euxton Orange v Eccleston Amber
In a rain affected game, Eccleston Amber played Euxton Orange on a very heavy and sticky pitch. Good football was going to be hard to come by, but this game had commitment and a real desire to win by Amber which was highlighted by Jack's performance in defence.
Joseph deputised for James in goal and did a superb job, but Jack in defence also caught the eye as he put in a Jagielka esk performance. Eccleston right from the beginning of the game created chances and Lincoln, Ryan and Matthew pushed Euxton back into their half and created a number of chances before Matthew bagged a great goal. Euxton were stunned into action and equalised just before half time.
After half time further changes were made and Lucas / Henry came on. However Euxton took a surprise lead as Eccleston were caught out on a counter attack. Eccleston went on to dominate the second half, with Joseph repelling any chance of Euxton scoring further. It was no surprise that Lucas scored from an excellent move but many other opportunities were spurred as Amber sought the winner. With the game flowing from end to end, Amber hit Euxton with two superb goals laid on by Ryan.
Jack and Joseph were named Parents and Managers respectively.
