Walton-Le-Dale Match Report
Eccleston Amber enjoyed a comfortable 12-0 win today against Walton-Le-Dale. A big thanks to the WLD manager Paul Bolton who looked after us today.
Amber had a strong pool of 10 players that made the trip to St Aidens Primary School in Bamber Bridge.
The start of the match saw Amber dominating with all of the possession and creating many goal scoring opportunities. The keeper playing for Walton-Le Dale was in fine form today and made a number of great saves. However it was not long before Amber started to dominate and were soon able to stamp their authority on the game. Ryan, Jack, Dan and Zak were dominant up front and ensured that most of the game was played in their opponents half. Henry, Joseph and Matthew formed an excellent defensive unit that allowed Dan to weave his magic in midfield with Jack playing a great supporting role. Such was their form that by half time the team were leading 7-0 with James being a virtual spectator.
Walton-le-dale changed their keeper at half time and what a difference it made. He made save after save against some really powerful strikes from Amber but eventually a second half a substitution saw Matthew score a quick couple of goals then Amber overran Walton-le-Dale. Some great passing and shooting saw Amber finish strong with Alex scoring his first goal for Amber on his league debut.
Walton-Le-Dale never allowed their heads to drop and kept going to the end, for which their manager and parents should be proud of. Well done to both teams who played the game in a excellent spirit.
